Campervan and RV Rental in Orlando

Orlando, best known for its bustling theme parks, is the ideal place to begin your sunshine state adventure. Rent a campervan or RV from Orlando and discover all that Florida has to offer.

Located in the middle of the state, Orlando is a perfect central location for your campervan or RV trip. You will be able to explore both the subtropical wilderness of southern Florida and the turquoise waters of northern Florida's First Coast.

National Parks Near Orlando

Florida is home to 11 national parks and preserves, with many of them just a few hours from Orlando. Rent your campervan or RV in Orlando and head south to Everglade National Park . A glide through the glades promises adventure ripe with exotic wildlife and enchanting mangrove forests.

Keep heading south to get to Biscayne and Dry Tortugas National Park, where you can experience marine ecosystems like never before. Swim through colorful coral reefs by day and set up in one of the campgrounds for campervans and RVs present along the coast to catch a stunning sunset.

Big Cypress National Preserve, Canaveral National Seashore, and Castillo De San Marcos offer more stunning tropical scenery and are worth adding to your coastal adventure itinerary.

Orlando Coastline, Lakes, and Rivers

From Orlando to Key West , the sparkling coastal waters are impossible to miss, but the freshwater might be a little more difficult to find. Nonetheless, a quick drive through the peninsula will reveal that water, both fresh and salt, is Florida's most abundant resource.

For your freshwater fix, head towards Wekiwa Springs State Park to watch colorful birds nesting along lush riverbanks or float with gentle manatees at Blue Springs State Parks.

For a saltier experience, Daytona and Cocoa Beach are both iconic beach locations. If you’re seeking something a little more low-key, try the quieter Melbourne Beach or Siesta Key. White sands and blue waters make these lesser-known beaches easily accessible coastal gems.

Campgrounds Near Orlando

The ample amount of parks and preserves surrounding Orlando make finding a spot to camp for the night an easy task. Park your camper at Manatee Cove Campground and fall asleep to the gentle lapping of waves on the shore. Flamingo Campground and Long Pine Keys Campground, located in Everglade National Park, promise the perfect spots to become intimate with the Florida glades.

While there will be no shortage of camping options along your route, be sure to call ahead and make reservations in places that allow it to ensure you have a spot. For places that operate on a first-come, first-served basis, try to plan your stay during the weekday or arrive early on the weekend to ensure you get the best spot.

No matter which direction you choose, beginning your great Florida road trip in Orlando will put you in the perfect position to uncover the wonders of Florida. Whether you're swimming alongside sea turtles or hiking through ancient cypress forests, it's sure to be unforgettable.
