The English Promenade is a must-see in the capital of the French Riviera. This avenue, which follows the Baie des Anges, stretches for more than seven kilometers, is known throughout the world for its palm trees, blue chairs, and luxurious hotels, and has carried its name since the 18th century. In fact, at that time, many English people came here to relax for a few days in the Nice region.

Nice airport is one of the most important in the south of France. It offers destinations all over the world and is a real gateway from abroad. If you prefer to travel by train, the Nice train station is only a few hundred meters from the city center and the Basilica of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption.

The best time to rent a RV in Nice

Average temperatures in Nice per month
Average temperatures in Nice per month

Nice is one of the French Riviera’s most prized towns. The Mediterranean climate has a lot to do with it. Indeed, the winters are very mild and the summers hot and dry. Moreover, it is one of the cities in France with the highest average and annual temperatures.

July is the hottest and driest month of the year, with an average temperature of 24°C and rainfall of around 10 mm per month. The city owes these ideal conditions to the Alps, which protect it from the north and west winds. At 9°C in January, Nice's winters are more than mild and frosts are almost non-existent. This makes it a particularly pleasant time of year.

If you want to rent a campervan in Nice to visit the city and its surroundings, you should do so in June. At this time, the weather is optimal and despite the high number of visitors, you avoid the crowds of July, August, and even September. If you prefer earlier travel, although the temperatures are lower at this time, February is an excellent month to visit Nice. This is because the most important carnival in France takes place every year at this time.
