The best fleet of RVs, campervans and motorhomes for rent in Nantes
The city is a true cultural and historical center. So much so that every year, from the 1st of July to the 31st of August, "Le Voyage à Nantes" takes place. This is where a green path appears that you can follow on foot or by bike. It links various heritage elements and some temporary art installations.
Just as the banks of the Loire and the Île de Versailles delight outdoor enthusiasts, the Île de Nantes and its famous giant animal-shaped machines are equally attractive. Nevertheless, the Parc du Puy du Fou, located less than an hour and a half from the center, remains the region's main attraction and is easily reached by an RV rental in Nantes.
The metropolis is located on the Loire estuary. This position allows the seaport of Nantes-Saint-Nazaire to establish itself as one of the most important in the country. Ryanair, Lufthansa, Air France, and Aer Lingus are just some airlines operating from Nantes-Atlantiques airport. In addition, the A11 highway links Nantes to the east of the country, the A83 highway leads south, and the N165 national road leads to Brittany. The railway lines from Nantes station also offer an alternative way to reach the city.
There are many places to park a motorhome rental in Nantes. The Decré-Bouffray car park is open from 6.30 am to 10.30 pm and provides direct access to the pedestrianized streets of the city center. It costs £2.40/€2.80 for an hour's parking. The Château car park offers a daily rate of £18/€21. Further out, the Relais Frachon car park in Saint Herblain costs only £9.50/€11 for a day. If these aren’t what you need, further south in the city, the Porte de Vertou car park offers another alternative.
If you want to stay in Nantes in a campervan, it is best to plan ahead and book a pitch at a campsite.
