Adventure Truck is a pickup with a camper unit on the load bed. You sleep in the camper section and drive the truck normally. The unit stays on the vehicle for the whole rental. It is not something you detach and leave on a pitch. We show you how to open it out, and how to secure it before driving, at pickup.
We had a great time in the Adventure plus select! The battery + solar combo were slightly underpowered but at a powered camping site it operated really well.
Everything went very well, from the pickup to the return of the vehicle. Be careful with the choice of vehicles; the camper pickup is not suitable for taking an indoor shower or going to the toilet. If that's a necessity, you should consider getting a larger one. Otherwise, everything was fine and as expected. 👍
The experience was great! A couple of things functionality-wise, the rearview mirror was floppy and was difficult to see out of at most times due to sunlight or headlights at night. The fridge door flew open during travel, we were not advised of any lock so we had to improvise a lock situation. Also, a cabinet handle was sticky and was difficult to open. A control unit started beeping very loudly one night and was showing a code that I couldn’t understand. It eventually went away. Other than that, fairly smooth sailing. The truck part was perfect, no issues there.
