At Indie Campers, we want to make sure that your vehicle is properly protected whenever it is hired through our Marketplace. When a vehicle is hired to another driver, the owner's regular annual insurance may not provide the appropriate coverage for the hire period. For this reason, Indie Campers has partnered with Assurlib, an insurance solution dedicated to temporary hire of campervans, motorhomes and converted vans in France.
Assurlib provides temporary comprehensive insurance coverage for the hire period, allowing your vehicle to be protected while it is being hired through the Indie Campers Marketplace.
The insurance is designed specifically for temporary campervan and motorhome hires.
For each eligible hire, temporary insurance can cover the vehicle for the hire period. The policy can be purchased for periods from 1 day up to 30 days, making it suitable for short stays, weekends, weekly hires and longer trips. If a longer period is required, a new temporary contract can be taken out following the first one.
The Assurlib solution provides two comprehensive insurance options. The coverage remains the same between the two options; the main difference is the amount of the damage deductible (excess):
