Campervan and RV Rental in Wales

Campervan and RV rental in Wales is a superb way to explore the country's rugged coasts, mountainous parks, and rich Celtic culture.

Wales is compact enough to explore in its entirety in your campervan or RV rental. However, the principality has a lot of diversity for travelers of all kinds, like surfers, hikers, or families looking for a relaxing break. You can reach this magical land by renting a campervan or RV from Manchester or London . If you're planning a trip, have a read of our handy camping guides to make sure you're well prepared.

Wales' National Parks

Wales has three excellent national parks you can reach in your RV or campervan. These parks cover about 20% of the entire land mass of Wales.

Snowdonia National Park is a scenic spot that is a hiker's favorite for more than a reason. Breathtaking mountain views, rivers, hills, and waterfalls provide an incredible backdrop to its nearby charming villages, sheep, and rich historical sites.

The Brecon Beacons National Park is a hiker's paradise. It offers splendid views, rolling hills, waterfalls, caves, and walks for every level of experience. It also has fantastic heritage sites and market towns, all easily accessible in a campervan or RV rental.

Finally, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park offers a different side of Wales. In particular, the beauty of the seaside. This sprawling park is known for its breathtaking coastal walk that offers ruins, dramatic views, and a unique peace and tranquility.

Coastlines, Lakes, and Rivers in Wales

Wales has some of the best coastlines in the United Kingdom. You can access many beaches and quaint seaside towns in your campervan or RV rental.

Tenby is a beautiful and historic seaside town. It has some excellent beaches, including Tenby South Beach and Castle Beach. Nearby, you can find another coastal town called The Mumbles. It's quieter and less commercial and a perfect place for a holiday.

There are other great beaches that you can reach in your campervan or RV rental from Wales. Rhossili Beach in Gower is great for surfing, while Anglesey's Rhosneigr Beach offers sailing and fabulous views.

Wales has lovely lakes you can explore with a campervan or RV rental. Snowdonia's Mymbyr Lakes mix still waters with mountain views. Additionally, Crafnant Lake, near Conwyn Valley, is one of the most beautiful places you can reach by campervan.

The River Wye is one of the U.K.'s best rivers. It has lots of activities, like canoeing and fishing. It's also a perfect spot for a walk. The River Teifi offers great watersports activities, and if you time your visit right, you'll see the magical salmon leap in autumn.

If you find yourself in Brecon Beaches, the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal is a must. You can follow it by boat, bike, or on foot.

Campgrounds in Wales

Taking a campervan around Wales is a beautiful experience. But finding a campervan-friendly campsite will help you get the most from your stay. It's best to book ahead because Wales is a very popular destination.

If you're taking your campervan or RV rental to Snowdownia, Glanllyn Caravan & Camping Park is an excellent place to stay. It has superb facilities, a shop, and it's situated right on a lake.

The Brecon Beacons Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite is another excellent option. It's clean, dog-friendly, and surrounded by woods. You can also rent boats for the nearby canal.

Finally, the Caerfai Bay Caravan & Tent Park is a superb choice if you're taking in the Pembrokeshire Coast. Beautiful beach views, excellent facilities, and friendly staff make it a perfect spot.
