Campervan and RV Rental in Campania

Campania is located in the southwestern part of the Italian peninsula. With the Tyrrhenian Sea on its west side, the area is famous for its picturesque Mediterranean gulfs. However, the region is best known worldwide as the home of Mount Vesuvius and the fascinating excavated ruins of the city of Pompeii, which is very close to Naples by campervan.

National Parks of Campania

Campania has some great national parks you can access via campervan or RV rental.

Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park is spectacular. Stunning sights, unforgettable beaches, and crystal-clear waters are just some of the treats on offer.

The Pollino National Park is another must if you explore Campania in a campervan. Beautiful trails, waterfalls, and outstanding natural beauty are part of what makes this park so unique.

Of course, if you drive through Campania in a campervan and RV, you can take advantage of the Vesuvio National Park. Hiking up the mountain is worth the effort because of the panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the Capri Islands. Walking to the crater is demanding for inexperienced hikers.

Campania's Coastline, Lakes, and Rivers

The Mediterranean coast is famous for its beaches, and Campania will not disappoint. One of the best spots to access in your campervan or RV rental is the secluded cove of Cala Bianca Spiaggia. You'll need to walk about 40 minutes from the car park to the cove, but the experience it's completely worth it.

Cala di Mitigliano is another first-class beach you can access via campervan rental. The turquoise waters and views of Capri are unmissable. Tordigliano Beach is a wild space and one of the best spots to view the Amalfi coast without contending with too many fellow travelers.

Campania has some great lakes you can stop at in your campervan and RV rental. Lake Avernus is famed for its food and great walks, while Lucrine Lake offers a blend of history and natural beauty.

There are also some great rivers in Campania. TheSele is a hotspot for canoeing and kayaking, while the Calore offers excellent hikes and swimming. The Cervaro River, mentioned by Pliny, the Elder, in his Natural History (A.D. 77), is a must for fans of the Roman Empire.

Campgrounds in Campania

Adventuring around Campania in your campervan or RV rental is only possible with somewhere relaxing to stay at night. The area has plenty of campervan-friendly sites, but booking ahead to secure a place is highly recommended.

The AgriCamping Stone Vesuvio is ideally situated for travelers visiting the Vesuvio National Park. It has excellent facilities and a friendly atmosphere, all at a reasonable price.

The Trentova Camping Park is clean, welcoming, and calm despite being in a busy tourist location. It also has a swimming pool, making it a great place to bring the kids.
