Campervan Rental Cagliari

Cagliari is one of the most visited cities in Sardinia thanks to its artistic value, its traditions, and its beaches with crystal clear water. Visiting Cagliari means immersing yourself in its streets, squares, and small characteristic places. Walking, you will encounter numerous buildings of great historical and artistic importance, such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria and the Roman amphitheater. But that is not all! Cagliari also hides numerous naturalistic places of enormous beauty, such as the famous Sella del Diavolo, a small promontory overlooking the sea. Finally, you can’t rent a motorhome in Cagliari without tasting one of its typical dishes. We suggest you try the Porceddu, a representative dish of Sardinian cuisine, in the traditional restaurant Su Cumbidu.

Getting to Cagliari

Cagliari is located in Sardinia, a southwestern island of Italy. Its position makes it difficult to reach in a short time. If you choose to take the plane, you have to take into account a stopover in another Italian city and quite long flight times (from London: About 5 hours). Elmas airport is located not far from the city, reachable by car or shuttles. If you are traveling by car, you can take one of the many ferries that connect Cagliari to various Italian cities such as Naples, Genoa, or Rome. Finally, the Cagliari station is connected to Olbia and Sassari via a regional railway network managed by Trenitalia.

Parking in Cagliari

The historic center of Cagliari is a limited traffic area, so it is not possible to leave your car there. However, there are several car parks just outside the center. The first alternative is that of the blue stripes (prices: €0.5-1/hour) for a fee from 9 to 20. If you prefer guarded parking lots, there is the Metropark Parking near the train station (€10/day) and the free Piazza dei Centomila Parking. If you want to park outside the city, you can opt for the Airport Parking Go (€5/day).
